Relax at the Wedding Reception
The Hard Part is Over
Once you have made it through the wedding, the hard part is over. Your dress fit, your groom appeared on schedule, the Justice of the Peace or clergyperson has blessed your union, the pictures have been taken, and your day is complete - almost. Next stop is the wedding reception. Take a deep breath, relax, and have fun.
What Will Be, Will Be
Think back on the months of planning youve put into this day or, most appropriately, the wedding reception. No amount of seating plans and setting out place cards will keep guests from moving the cards to sit next to their friends or other relatives. No amount of disposable cameras will guarantee that every single table will use themin fact, some guests might just carry them away. No amount of planning will keep smaller children seated at a table away from their parents, and seating them with their parents doesnt guarantee theyll behave.
Music is Music
Even if the disc jockey lost your list of requests or the band doesnt know the song you specifically requested, your wedding reception isnt ruined. In a perfect world, everything happens the way wed like it to. In the real world, we work with what we have. If your favorite song isnt played, dance to a different song.
People watching you dance with your father at your wedding reception will remember the moment, not the song. Unless you hired a specific musician to play a specific song, its not a major concern. If your hired musician doesnt show up, or if they play something other than you contracted, you may have a course of action after the reception.
Everybody Dance Now
People will run up to dance at a wedding reception. Whether its to The Chicken Dance, Hava Nagila, the Electric Slide, or the Hustle, they dont care how many times the songs are played or how many times they get up to dance. When you look back on the wedding reception, youll remember the dancing.
People love to dance at weddings; even guests enjoy watching others dance. If you keep people on the floor, theyll have a great time. Make sure there is plenty of water at the tables. Not only is it cheaper than liquor, its also welcomed when dancers sit down. It refreshes them enough to get a second wind and go back out again.
Limit the Bar
The bar, whether cash or open, should be available for a short time before and for some time during the wedding reception activities. However, advise the bartender not to serve those who appear to be intoxicated, even if they arrive that way. Other than a motor vehicle accident caused by or involving a guest from your party, nothing can go so wrong that it cant be fixedtheres almost nothing that needs immediate attention and/or action or attitude during your special day.
At the same time, everybodys stress level is way up; expectations are high, and there are plenty of opportunities for conflict.

Also, when planning a wedding, make sure and ask if there are any restrictions on having a beach wedding is there a limit of how many people can be gathered together, are chairs allowed, can you bring food (public beach properties almost always do not allow open alcohol). Put paper or cloth down where the bride will walk to protect her dress. Does the album look sloppy or has care been taken to safeguard the memories of the day? Wedding music sung by a vocalist is typically the most powerful contribution of music during the wedding ceremony. Often the wedding accessory is an opportunity for family members to take an active part in the celebration of two lives becoming one. At another wedding I recently attended, the invitations read Great Gatsby Theme and on my way to the wedding, I have visions of women dressed in unfortunate flapper costumes, but was pleasantly surprised when the extent of the theme was to wear white.
Do not choose the day or night before the ceremony to start breaking in your wedding shoes.
But, despite its reputation for less than perfect decisions, you can still have a well-planned, beautiful Las Vegas wedding if that is how you want to say I do. There are four steps to making your wedding dress: designing, choosing fabric, embellishments, and sewing and fitting. Many prospective brides get so involved in minor details that their wedding day is full of stress.
